The Challenge
ISO-CAL North America operates in a highly specialized segment of the solar measurement and calibration industry. The challenge was designing a website that could clearly communicate complex technical services to a niche audience of engineers, researchers, and solar professionals while still feeling accessible and trustworthy. This required deep research into the solar instrumentation space, competitor positioning, and the terminology used by professionals in the field to ensure the messaging and structure aligned with how the audience actually searches for and evaluates these services.
The Goal
Design a website that communicates ISO-CAL’s capabilities in a clear, authoritative, and engaging way while establishing a scalable foundation for future growth. Because SEO was planned from the start, I structured the site architecture around a strong core sitemap that could support long-term content expansion. Each primary service category was designed to function as a content hub, allowing the site to scale with new pages, resources, and technical articles without disrupting the overall structure.
Mobile Responsiveness
The site was designed with a responsive-first approach to ensure it performs consistently across devices. Layouts, typography, and imagery were optimized to maintain readability and clarity on smaller screens while preserving the professional, technical tone of the desktop experience.
The Impact
The new website strengthened ISO-CAL’s digital presence within the solar industry and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both the client and their customers.
